Please visit our website, www.essexrec.org, to register for programs and review ESP and Covid safety policies. Registration is open now and closes Monday, November 8 at 4 pm. A $10 late fee will be assessed for late registrations. Please contact Program Coordinator Betsy Hoffmeister (email@example.com, 802-878-1376) with any questions. Students at EES will be walked to Memorial Hall by an ESP monitor.
Fit2Excel 430910 B
This is an introductory strength and conditioning class that is specifically designed with 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students in mind. This comprehensive class is perfect for improving coordination, balance, agility, and, ultimately, athletic performance. Participants will come out of this class with faster feet, better coordination, improved agility, and a whole lot of smiles. A GREAT way to stay active between sports seasons and have fun with fitness.

Mindful Arts 430909 B
Students will learn to create Zentangle art, repetitive patterns, and a creative process that encourages mindfulness and focused attention. In addition, each class will start with a brief mindfulness session where we will learn a new skill each week. Basic supplies included.

Calling all thrill-seekers. MetroRock’s climbing and adventure program is the place to be. With 16,000 square feet of climbing and a high ropes adventure course with over 20 different elements, the possibilities are endless. Join us as your child builds confidence, makes new friends, stays active, and has a blast.

Transportation to MetroRock is provided.

Love to build? Want to make something out of wood? Come try your hand at woodworking. Pick one of our many fun projects and we will walk you through how to build it. Learn how to use hand tools, make sawdust, and have some fun. (There are no power tools in this class.). No experience is necessary and you get to keep all your completed projects.

What better way to spend time after school than being crafty? Join our ESP staff to create crafts you will want to keep. Your child will be bringing home projects and the desire to create more. With lots of fun and even more mess, your child will wish to sign up again and again.

Does your child like to knit or often ask to learn? This is the class for them. In a relaxed atmosphere, your child will learn to knit or start to improve their skills with the basics (knit, purl, cast, etc.) or even work on something a little more challenging with the help of our instructor. All participants will create a project of their choice and receive knitting needles to keep!
