Our recreation offices for Essex Parks and Recreation (EPR) and Essex Junction Recreation & Parks (EJRP) at 75 Maple Street, are open during the week from 10a.m.-2p.m. We are only serving people through our service window, just to the left of the front doors. There is a barrier between our staff and the public, but we request that you wear a mask, as other members of the public may pass by you or be waiting. If someone is at the window and you need to wait, please wait at least six feet back.
While we would love to interact with you, we do believe that 95% of our customers' needs can be served over the phone, via e-mail, online, and through the mail. We strongly encourage people to utilize these methods to remotely connect with us to assist you.
All parks, trails, and open spaces are available for use. Please do not come if you feel ill.
Please wash your hands before and after using park amenities.
Please wear a mask when you are in close proximity of others.
Please stay physically distant (at least 6') from others.
Due to COVID-19, there are health concerns and group size limitations that make it ill-advised and impractical to operate large gatherings this summer. As such, we are canceling the Backyard Camp Out, July 4th Celebration, the Essex Junction Block Party, Brite Nite 5K, the Half Marathon & 10K, and the Very Merry Theater performance. We have yet to decide about the Dog Days swim event. We will announce information about this as it gets closer.
